This hole in the wall is a very expensive place. Rip off. The servers are too talkative and try to sell you wines you dont want. Watch out. Food is so so.

Don Francesco is one of the citys hideouts right in the middle of everything. This italian fare carries a lot of exotic meats and game. Food is just awesome and the service too. Try the Partridge or pheasent or wild boar. A lovely place on burrard

I went to Don Francesco for dinner with 3 others and had a pretty good experience. The decor is a little bright for my liking but overall not too bad with tables decently spread apart. Our server was really on top of things and made some excellent meal suggestions and wine accompaniment. We started with the Insalata Fantasia, which was delicious; the tangy goat cheese blended really well with the avocado and ham. Two others also seemed to really enjoy their mushroom soup too. We all ordered various pasta dishes and the consensus was that they were the best pasta dishes that we’ve ever tasted! It was perfectly cooked, the sauces and seasonings were truly authentic and extremely flavorful. They also threw in a free salad, which was a nice gesture. The prices can get a little steep especially if you order wine, but between the service and taste of these exquisite dishes we will all be going back for another dinner in the near future.
