Absolutely the best Indian we had in Vancouver. eNJOYED EVERY BITE OF IT AND THE LOCATION WAS SO CONVENIENT. THE SERVICE WAS VERY GOOD TOO.

Going to this restaurant first time on a Christmas party. We had a wonderfull selection of appys, main and dessert. Basically it was bua buffet but everything tasted so good. I couldnt stop eating till I got full. At the cash bar the drink prices were also very reasonable. The restaurant is so beautiful and a perfect spot for party. I didnt knew the restaurant was so big. DJ Jun was terrific too. We had such a nice time.

Glad to see a descent Indian restaurant in downtown. The food was outstanding I have to say. The ambience and service was wow. Very flavourfull food without being overly spicy or greasy. Their winelist I thought was the best we have ever seen in an Indian restaurant. Simply impressed with the place.

food just ok but for a pseudo upscale there was no papadam
very sloppy presentation with a big piece of salad as decoration and a $30 half liter of house wine. If that is what you are looking for at least you will have been warned

Ever since they opened I was marvelled with the options they have. Its close to my work and we all love going here. 15 dollars lunch buffet is a steal any time on Alberni st. a salad or risotto close by costs more or less. The quality of the buffet is outstanding. Also on their menu many interesting choices. Beef short ribs flavourfull enough and just melts in your mouth. Halibut Masala another beauty. And the least we found it expensive. Again depends on where you eat normally. All meals come here with side veggie, rice and naan. I actually thought it is very reasonable in downtown.

Very Expensive and definitely not worth it. We heard about this restaurant from a hotel conceirge. What we were not told was how expensive this place was. Being from Toronto, not sure what else is out there but it seems like this place was not worth it. The food was okay but not that great. Ovewrall the place looked decent and the window seat captured a good synopsis of the city but not much more than that.
My vote..... Just average and too pricey !!!

I went there with my sister and her husband for dinner. The restaurant is nice and well appointed. However I was expecting Indian food but was surely surprised that it was hardly Indian. The food though was decent. Definitely well presented. The food was above average but not the best food I've had. My sis did not like her dish but my bro-in-law and me did not mind ours. The wine prices are a bit on the high side. Location is good but hard to see it from the street cuz its on the first floor.
Parking is definitely an issue as it took me 20 minutes to find a spot.

Not a good restaurant. There are a lot of other better restaurants in the area. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME HERE. Crappy food just well presented. Service is slow, the ambience is quite nice though. Don't think it will be there long. And oh yeah the previous reviwer hit the nail on the head. The owner seems to be writing the reviews (obviously). How can it be that they have so many reviews in such a short span when stallwarts like WEST and La Terraza don't even have that many reviews. I think the guy who is writing these reviews thinks that people are stupid and don't really have a brain. All the reviews have the same type of language and overtures. Just read them folks and have a laugh.

This is a contemporary Indian still a true Indian. Potato parcels and lamb soup was outstanding. Beef ribs excellent, so was the halibut and biryani. Banana fritters and Orange Grandmarnier Kulfi and Masala chai. This one for the ages to come. Definitely a must visit and you will return often.

The other reviews seem alittle suspicious. Who knows... but yea the food is great, service is good, great atmosphere, and the price is decent. Overall it's definetely worth a try.

Food here is just amazing. Try their wild boar, Halibut and Rack of Lamb. This is not your average Indian restaurant. A totally different dining expereience. Great winelist too

Having had the privilage of trying most Indian Restaurants on majority of the cities This was certainly the experience outstanding. I was captivated by the food, the ambience service and the whole experience. The food definitely took us of the feet. Totally an educating experience. The scope of Indian food has excited me and keeps exciting me. This one I will definitely be back anytime in town
