Le Clos Description:
Featuring classical French dining in an elegant atmosphere, Le Clos is the most formal of all seven restaurants in the Château Elan Winery & Resort, a 3,500-acre complex with an inn, winery, golf courses, tennis courts, spa and art gallery. The prix-fixe tasting menu ranges from as few as three to as many as eight courses, each paired with a different Château Elan wine. The menu changes frequently but may include such appetizers as coquilles St. Jacques made with huge diver scallops and served in a lobster broth, seared venison loin, grilled vegetable carpaccio and foie gras prepared tableside. For entrées, diners can select from such dishes as rack of lamb, salmon, pan-roasted lobster and maybe beef Wellington. In true French style, the salad is served after the entrée. End the meal with the trio of crèmes brûlées or the Greek Dessert, a dacquoise and hazelnut mousse.
