Nerest rail: Ayr - 20 minutes from the venue or Girvan and Maybole - 15 minutes from the venue.

General Rules:

No cameras on Championship Days.
No video cameras or audio recording devices.
No illegal substances.
No mobile phones.
No pets.
Smoking is allowed in the venue, but not in the Tents or Grandstands.

NO RE-ADMISSIONS

Season and daily tickets will permit the holder only one entry to the event per day in respect of each date (or dates) printed on the ticket. Holders of Season and Daily tickets will not be permitted to leave the event and return on the same day using the same ticket.

VAT Reduction:
In response to the reduction of the VAT tariff from 17.5% to 15%, announced by the Chancellor of the Exchequer in his pre-budget report, The R&A has moved to pass the benefits of the cut onto spectators.

Food and beverage vouchers to reflect the 2.5% decrease in VAT will be issued to spectators on arrival at the course. These vouchers will be redeemable at catering facilities across The Open Championship site at Turnberry.

Driving direction to Turnberry Golf Course:
Strathclyde police advise patrons to follow the specific 'Open' signs provided by the AA.

Travelling from the North: Follow the M77, thereafter the A77.

Travelling from the East: Follow the M8 and exit at junction 22 to the M77. Thereafter, follow the A77.

Travelling from the South: Follow the M6 to the M74, exit at junction 12 and follow the A70 west to the A77.

Drivers who fail to follow these directions or who use alternative routes are liable to encounter delays.
