The pub is just two minutes' walk from the Medway's banks, in a peaceful location on the edge of East Peckham in a little hamlet of Little Mill. Lying close to a hop farm, it is surrounded by orchards and oast houses. The area is crisscrossed with public footpaths, including the famous Medway Walk. To one side of the inn, the River Bourne runs within six feet of the large beer garden. People come from miles around to feed the huge Chubb that make this river their home. The food is home cooked and prepared. The menu changes with the seasons, to ensure that the fresh ingredients are always made use of.
