Cantina Vinopolis Description:
Cantina Vinopolis is the cavernous-ceilinged restaurant attached to Vinopolis, the vinously themed attraction. It occupies part of the brick-lined vaults behind a small wine bar, and the wine list is as great an attraction as the food. All 200-plus odd bins are available by the glass, and they're generally accessibly priced. The emphasis is on modern production and, among more unusual choices, there are a number of Greek wines. The food is robust and Mediterranean and each dish comes with a recommended wine: Parma ham with celeriac rémoulade and rocket salad, pan-fried scallops with black olive and tomato salsa, pastas and mains like Spanish black pudding with chorizo and potato salad, Scottish salmon and Barbary duck breast. Classic desserts follow the same pattern. Set 2-course menu £25.95, 3 courses £29.95.
