Bluewater Grill-Tustin Description:
The contemporary space at The District in Tustin has a nautical edge, but a cosmopolitan sophistication reigns in the soaring wood ceilings, handsome leather booths, marble-topped bar and delightful patio with roaring fireplace. The menu, which is changed daily, focuses on the freshest seasonal seafood from around the world, typically including several oyster varieties, clams, tuna, hamachi, lobster, calamari, salmon, scallops, trout, halibut, mahi mahi and barramundi. In addition to traditional grilled fish preparations, chef Brian Hirsty has also modernized the menu with more innovative dishes such as yam-crusted tempura Alaskan halibut, a Mediterranean-style ahi salad and panko-fried shrimp. Bluewater Grill is known for its creamy New England clam chowder and other traditional seafood dishes, but don't overlook specialties such as a whole Maine lobster baked with a shrimp stuffing. Those who aren't into seafood will find a small menu of steaks, chops and burgers. The wine list is rather extensive, with a good selection of mostly California producers.
