A mellow, subdued café in a converted house about fifty feet and a world away from busy Campbell Avenue, Raging Sage Coffee Roasters roasts and grinds beans in small batches, makes its own chai tea masala, bakes pastries and other bakery on site. All coffee and tea is made to order.
Natural wood floors, subdued lighting, and earthtone walls and furnishings give Raging Sage a warm ambiance. Raging Sage is does without the rushed pace of coffee shops selling stimulants to sleep-deprived, hectic people. It's unusually quiet for a coffee-shop located so close to a university. From the furnishings to its cozy, shaded patio to the brew itself, Raging Sage seems geared toward reading, relaxation, and contemplation. A sign on the door even requests that customers not take cellular phone calls while inside!
