Set in the historic Southern Pacific train depot, this intimate dining spot serves impressive offerings from start to finish. Mussels come four ways and the frites that can (and should) be ordered alongside pop with flavor. The roasted beet salad, with Maytag blue cheese, blood oranges and vanilla-scented walnuts, will please even those who don't like beets. And the entrées? Try the crispy gnocchi or the fresh fish of the day, no matter the "catch." Our favorite side is the macaroni and cheese blended with four cheeses (the smoky mozzarella adds a nice touch), topped with garlicky bread crumbs and baked until the crust is golden. While the wine list is well-rounded, the market part of the Maynards equation also offers a nice assortment of moderately priced wine.
