Just finished a wonderful meal at Cherry St and all I can say is WOW. This experience brought me to new heights in Toronto's dining culture. I could not decide whether to stick with my usual Prime Rib sandwich on rye or go with the "Talked About" Turkey Club. Trusting my instinct, I went with the prime rib knowing they could not screw it up. After receiving the sandwich, I was greeted with a sense of good intention. The staff brought me a 'complimentary' drink on the house. (Dont worry...I made sure to thank the manager). Often mentioned in the previous reviews, I was worried about the parking. Though when I arrived, I was greeted to Vincent, the valet guy!!! I am not sure if is name is actually Vincent, but who cares!!! After the meal, I slipped him a twenty, but being Vincent, he refused it with flying colours. Thanks Cherry St, for making my often dull day, one to remember...

After the big game, me and the team went to this amazing place, after winning in extra innings. We got the special group offer, which we thought meant bad quality food, but boy were we wrong. The meat was cooked to perfection, the drinks were on the house. Great way to finish a winning game day. And when we were of the team's bus, kind Vince cleaned our bus with warm water and soap. I reccomend this place, with great hearted owners. For once on this roadtrip a great place to eat.

Man oh man, what a sandwich...
The crisp iceberg lettuce merging together with the lean and succulent roast beef layered with a delicate glaze of garlic aoile. The warm fresh rye bread melts in your mouth as I took the first bite... (and for $3!!!)... I am speechless. With their Winterlicious menu coming up this weekend, I wouldnt be surprised to see this place burst with business. For $15 (lunch), you can have a selection of 5 different appetizers and 10 different entrees. (including the authentic roast beef delight). If you go between 5 and 7, its happy hour!!! Being a native from Japan, I did not know what this meant. But soon after, I only found out that it was 5 beers for $5. Judging that they were molsons (not my favourite), it was still a good deal. Judging from the last post about the parking, I was a little scared to leave my BMW lying there on the street. But with their new complimentary valet service, I was pleased to dine relaxed. After picking up the car, the valet guy refused my tip!!! I was amazed, but I slipped him a twenty
when no one was looking. Anyways I've said enough, next time I come to Toronto, (next month), I will surely recommend this joint to anyone looking for an excellent meal. Hopefully, I will get a table... CHOW!!!

Wow, that is all I can say.
I hate to be bringing down Toronto's restaurant industry...but man this place is good. The food is homemade and authentic with an extra touch put into it. Everything is great value. ($3 FOR A SANDWICH with fries salad and a beer). Though it is Molson...it is still great. I think the long time chef here has won a few awards but has refused to move locations because of its authenticity. Boy, what a meal. The only problem (only 1!!) is that I was forced to park on the street and it was kind of seedy leaving my brand new Lexus outside in an area for which I am not familiar. This if anything would hurt the service section...
But either than that what a meal and BON APPETIT to all Cherry St customers.

Breakfast was not bad, not great, but you go for the atmosphere. The place has "character" and characters who work there, and were very nice, and funny!

Not bad for a start the entrees were decent but yet lacking professionilism. It needs some work but the value of the food is very good for it is about $3 a sandwich. ( dont get the tuna)
but the turkey is amazing, and the soups arent that bad. If had to go there the second time I would stick with the hot entrees for their chef makes a splendid stroganoff.
Bon appetit
