Elegant and timeless; welcome to Holdren's Steaks & Seafood. All of our steaks are U.S.D.A. prime Midwestern corn fed beef, which are aged to our exact specifications. Flavorful and tender, we charbroil all of them over our mesquite grill.
Try the "Cowboy Cut" - Holdren's Signature Steak - a 20 oz. prime bone-in rib chop served with our spicy onion rings. Our Fresh seafood selection includes Tiger prawns wrapped in apple wood smoked bacon and a very popular seared Hawaiian ahi.
Open for lunch daily, the top sirloin steak sandwich, grilled chicken sandwich, fresh ahi tuna sashimi salad and grilled chicken Caesar are just a few of the delicious lunch menu items available. Save room for dessert! "Smore's on the Campfire", tangy lemon tart... the dessert list goes on.... We offer an extensive wine and martini list. Newbury Park is the setting for this offshoot of a Santa Barbara steakhouse that grills up not only corn-fed beef from the Midwest, but also rack of lamb topped with elephant garlic sauce. A pork chop gets some heat from jalapeños and a brandy peppercorn sauce. Seafood items run from bouillabaisse with lobster in a Pernod broth to pan-roasted salmon with spinach or mashed potatoes. The brick walls and modern art keep the ambience from getting too stuffy, but the small booths might make you feel a bit squished, especially after eating a 24-ounce, bone-in cowboy cut of rib-eye with spicy onion rings. At lunch they offer a shrimp Louie salad and tempura-style fish 'n' chips as alternatives to the steak sandwich and half-pound burger. The bar (a replica of the 1918 original in Santa Barbara) is stocked with fine Cognac, 12- to 21-year-old scotch, bourbon and plenty of California wines. More than 20 martinis are mixed nightly.
