Bangkok Cuisine Description:
A pulsating pistachio paint job creates the dominant decorative theme of Bangkok Cuisine. Get over it, for the food truly deserves to be called cuisine. Tempura is crisp, light and delicate, the satay is appealingly spicy and a mung-bean noodle salad runs the gamut from fresh to spunky in its combination of chicken, mushrooms and red onion with fresh chiles. Presentation is not always the house's strong suit, but though the roasted duck red curry is visually disastrous, its tastes----including the renegade fresh pineapple and grapes---more than compensate. Ground chicken with fresh basil also scores, but with more elusive flavors. And the all-important soups---including the classic tom yum with chicken---elicit raves from even jaded diners. Sticky rice with mango is frequently available for dessert.
