Doc Martin's Description:
Right in the heart of town, the welcoming patio of Doc Martin's offers a full board of margaritas. Because the restaurant is the main dining room for the historic Taos Inn, it serves breakfast, lunch and dinner daily---but don't make the mistake of thinking it's a typical hotel dining room. The contemporary menu changes seasonally and has flashes of Caribbean, Italian and Southwestern inspirations. A staple of the lunch menu is a crab cake sandwich served on a baguette with crunchy root vegetable chips. For dinner, don't miss the lobster ravioli or the roast pheasant. Macadamia-crusted halibut satisfies two cravings at once---for fresh fish and outrageously buttery nuts. Dessert soufflés are famous, but be sure to plan ahead and order before starting on appetizers. The wine list, though notable, is pricey---even for Taos.
