Traditional mainstays such as garlicky escargot and coarse pâté share menu space with jazzy appetizers like fruits de mer cocktail---martini glasses filled with shrimp, crab claws and lobster medallions in an Absolut Citron vinaigrette. The French-Continental cuisine includes a lovely pine nut and sun-dried tomato-crusted rack of New Zealand lamb with mint au jus, and a cedar-planked salmon, but Chez Pierre also serves a great hamburger. Don't skip dessert, even if it means packaging half your entrée for later.
