Buon Ricordo Restaurant Description:
Buon Ricordo means simply "good memories," and those who have dined here over the past 20-plus years would applaud its accuracy. Italian-born chef-owner Armando Percuoco has carved out a faithful clientele, and they come to enjoy his "la vera cucina," which translates as "unabashedly true Italian cuisine." Even the building in an inner-city street has a hint of Tuscany about it, but that is no preparation for what is going on inside. Here the energy is regional Italy at its best. Buon Ricordo's signature dish of fettuccine tossed at the table with truffled egg keeps people returning, as does baby snapper baked in a pizza crust, and a tender roast duck. It's not unusual to see Percuoco bounding out from the kitchen to greet guests. Those in the know save themselves for the feather-light apple mille mele or at least leave room for a selection of Italian and Australian cheeses.
