Don's Pomeroy House Description:
This stately restaurant isn't out to break any boundaries, but it has carved itself a nice little niche as a spot for a fine dining celebration. And while it's a solid choice for a romantic date or special dinner, the venue seems a bit stiff for the younger set. Lunch and dinner menus (for both the more casual downstairs pub and the dining room) offer appetizers like bruschetta, stuffed mushrooms and baked Brie. Much like Don's sister restaurant, Don's Lighthouse Grille, the bulk of the menu is seafood, including Maine lobster tail, Jail Island salmon, scallops, scrod and, of course, Great Lakes walleye. Beef, chicken, pork and vegetarian dishes also are available. The downstairs pub offers soups, salads, sandwiches and wraps as well as live entertainment on certain nights.
