Tiernan's offers simple and satisfying comfort food in a bi-level loft structure whose interior resembles a tastefully appointed but laid-back living room. Brick walls, wooden railings, well-spaced tables and chairs and a ceiling with exposed wood beams lend a warm and inviting atmosphere. The menu's typical bar and grill selections, including a combination platter of Buffalo wings, mozzarella sticks, potato skins and chicken tenders, is nothing out of the ordinary but satisfying. The shepherd's pie, accompanied by a side salad, is hearty but not heavy. This eatery may not elicit "oohs" and "aahs," but chances are you'll return for more.
