An enduring institution among Chinese restaurants, Good Fortune continues serving luscious weekend dim sum plus abundantly good Cantonese fare from the regular menu. On weekends, it may be hard to get a table, as the Chinese community often turns out in full force. From the regular menu, look for an assortment of atypical dishes, including shredded abalone and duck soup, marinated cuttlefish, boneless duck stuffed with taro and duck feet with black mushrooms hot pot. On the more familiar side, you’ll find the usual Po Po platter (aka Pu Pu platter), kung pao chicken, Peking duck, ma po bean curd and the ubiquitous orange beef. But your best bet here is to experiment, as the menu embodies some of the better dishes from the Cantonese kitchen. They often host large Chinese banquets, so you know the food is good.
