Going to the ten-table restaurant of Shirley and Demetrios Fournos is almost like planning a vacation to Greece, considering that the authentic little spot is only open three nights a week, with two reserve-in-advance seatings per night at 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. The ambience is cozy and unassuming with hand-painted tablecloths and an open kitchen arrangement, and the authentic food includes flaming shrimp with feta, poached salmon with a yogurt and steamed onion topping, Greek lasagna with seasoned ground lamb, and roast leg of lamb carved to order.
