Parking:

Off site paylots, garage and street parking. Discounted carpool parking is available at select Seattle Center parking lots.

Public Transportation:

All roads (and trails) lead to Bumbershoot. Please consider the following transportation options when traveling to the Festival.

Take the bus: King County Metro runs bus routes throughout the Seattle area with access to the Seattle Center. For a complete listing go to http://www.transit.metrokc.gov/.

Carpool and ride share: Consider carpooling with friends and family or sign-up for a King County Metro Ride Share and enjoy a ride with others in your area. For details visit www.rideshareonline.com.

Seattle Center Monorail: Park downtown and hop on the Seattle Center Monorail at Westlake Center. For times and fare information visit www.seattlemonorail.com

Bike: Pedal your path to Bumbershoot via urban trails or downtown streets. Free bike parking is available in the designated area on Thomas Street between EMP/SFM and the Space Needle.

General Rules:

No weapons, projectiles, alcohol, cameras with detachable lenses, chairs, audio/video recording devices with external microphones, glass bottles, cans, wagons or carts, coolers larger than 14" x 15" x 10", backpacks larger than 17" x 12" x 10", chairs, cane umbrellas, laser pointers, air horns or noisemakers are allowed on Seattle Center grounds during the festival. In addition, the following items cannot be brought into the Memorial Stadium Mainstage shows: umbrellas of any size, bottles of any type, except reusable, non-disposable water bottles (such as CamelBak, Nalgene, Klean Kanteen), animals, except service animals, Bags are subject to search.

Miscellaneous:

Food from over 40 Northwest vendors are available on the festival grounds.
There are beer gardens for those ages 21 and over, with proper ID.


Driving direction to Seattle Center:
Bumbershoot is located on the Seattle Center grounds. Activities take place in various venues at the Seattle Center.

Entrances
If you have tickets in-hand, there are three entry gates for Bumbershoot 2008.
- On Thomas Street, between the Space Needle & Monorail
- On Broad Street, just off the Space Needle turnaround
- On Mercer Street, between the Bagley Wright and the Intiman Theatres
