Lombardi's Cucina of Ballard Description:
Long before Ballard became a trendy dining neighborhood, there was Lombardi's. The menu features hearty, garlic-laden Northern Italian dishes in a European-like bistro setting. Downstairs bustles with families and large parties, while upstairs provides a quieter, more romantic scene. Once you're seated, dig into a bottomless basket of Como bread and whole bulbs of spreadable garlic roasted in olive oil. Consider starting with a crisp signature Caesar salad or an appetizer ranging from antipasti to made-to-order pizzas. For entrées, we suggest the veal Gorgonzola or a huge bowl of the spaghetti Bolognese. Standout desserts include the chocolate mousse and crème caramel. The wine list is primarily Italian, with good house wines that are reasonably priced. This family-owned restaurant also has locations in Issaquah and Everett.
