Elliott's Oyster House Description:
Located on Pier 56, Elliott's has been a Seattle tradition with tourists and locals for more than 30 years. Sunny days can mean an hour or more wait for a table outside. But why wait? Inside there are comfortable booths where you can watch the waterfront activity just as well---or turn your back on it entirely and cozy up to either the handsome liquor bar or the 21-foot oyster bar. A year-round draw, the extensive list of available oysters changes twice daily. Non-oyster fans will enjoy the menu of local seafood, such as steamed mussels with crispy french fries, or Dungeness crab and rockfish cakes sauced with blood orange juice and crab beurre blanc. Freshness and careful preparation are evident in almost every dish we've tried, including the grilled king salmon, halibut cheeks and creamy chowders, especially the pink-tinged crab version laced with corn, potato and cayenne. Desserts are huge and homey; don't miss the fried chocolate truffle sundae or Meyer lemon pound cake.
