Dick's Drive-In Restaurant Description:
A Seattle institution, Dick's is a local chain of drive-in burger joints built in the 1950s. Set in a giant parking lot, the Wallingford location was the first Dick's. But this is not one of those cute, nostalgic fifties diners. You can order anything as long as it's a Dick's basic burger with ketchup, mustard and pickle---meaning not your way, but Dick's way. (There's no plain burger, even for picky kids.) The burger meat is fresh, the thick-cut fries are made from real potatoes, and the individually made milkshakes are smooth and silky. Expect lines at midnight and don't be surprised to find high school kids disembarking from limos after their senior proms. Note: Dick's is cash only.
