Unlike most affordable conveyor-belt sushi restaurants, Blue C also has a sleek upscale ambience. Anime videos flash across the back wall and Asian pop music sets the tone. Diners ogle a variety of dishes that slide past on the moving belt; choose from plates (color-coded for price) in a rainbow of hues matching Tokyo's subway lines. Selections for the most part are standards---hamachi (yellowtail) nigiri, spicy tuna maki, and such---not ultra innovative hand-rolled creations. Call buttons along the sushi bar attract servers. The fresh and nicely prepared sushi is complemented by various cooked dishes such as tempura and tonkatsu, plus desserts, making the menu accessible to a greater number of diners.
