Blue C Sushi Description:
This sister location to the original Fremont Blue C is just as trendy, offering quality sushi at affordable prices. It's a good place to introduce sushi novices to raw fish delicacies, but it wouldn't make the head of the list for confirmed aficionados of Japanese cuisine. Diners ogle a variety of dishes that scoot past on the moving conveyor belt, then choose from rainbow-hued plates (color-coded for price) matching those of Tokyo's subway lines. Selections for the most part are old standards---hamachi (yellowtail) nigiri, spicy tuna maki, and so forth---not spanking new, hand-rolled creations. And if the sushi has been circling around on the belt for awhile, it can lose its fresh flavor. The sushi is complemented by various cooked dishes---tempura, tonkatsu---and desserts, making the eatery more accessible to a greater number of diners. Service is friendly and call buttons along the sushi line speed up service.
