Bick's Broadview Grill Description:
Seattle's Broadview neighborhood is lucky to have a local restaurant like Bick's---an eatery with an up-to-the-minute vibe and quality food. The kitchen puts out generously portioned dishes that pack a wallop, including fiery spring rolls stuffed with rock shrimp, roasted jalapeño Manila clams, and smoked duck with a Serrano-laced avocado dipping sauce. Thankfully, not everything produces watery eyes and tingling lips. Risotto studded with peas, squash and asparagus, topped with grilled prawns, is pleasantly soothing, while caramelized leeks in a balsamic syrup lend a sweet note to mushroom pancakes sandwiched around a grilled portobello mushroom cap. Execution can be a bit inconsistent, but we'd go back just for the hoisin pork ribs. Come as you are, sit at the bar or in a cozy corner by the window, or outside on the deck in nice weather.
