Feierabend Description:
Raise a glass to German brews in this friendly, boisterous pub, which is reminiscent of a beer hall without being too faux Bavarian. Dark wood décor and communal tables add to the authentic ambience, while 18 imported biers on tap will please a range of tastes. Served in steins and glasses, beer selections range from Erdinger Hefeweizen to a darker Spaten Optimator; with three sizes (0.3L, 0.5L and 1.0L) to choose from, you can easily sift through them and choose your favorites. Appetizers double-up as bar food. Bread dumplings doused in a savory mushroom sauce studded with bacon bits are hefty enough for an entire meal. The bratwurst and sauerkraut are decent, as are the Bavarian pretzel and the crispy shoestring fries dipped in curry ketchup. We also recommend the Wiener Schnitzel---breadcrumbs cloaking the pork keep it moist and juicy---and the accompanying sweet-and-sour red cabbage has just the right hint of cloves. No minors allowed.
