Golden Gate Park Outside Lands Festival Description:

Parking:

With extremely limited parking inside the Park and in surrounding neighborhoods, we encourage you to take public or alternative means of transportation.

Public Transportation:

Bus

The public bus transportation of San Francisco offers a Golden Gate Park shuttle that provides free service to passengers situated at one of 15 locations scattered about the park. This mode of transportation is available during the weekends and holidays, from 10am to 6pm until the middle of December. The Golden Gate Concourse Authority provides a complete schedule with additional details found by calling (415) 831-2727.

Muni
The San Francisco Municipal Railway (MUNI) provides an array of helpful connections to Golden Gate Park from a variety of transit stops located about the city. You should also know that MUNI riders who use a Fast Pass or possess a transfer may receive a $2 discount to enter the de Young Museum. A range of MUNI trip planners and schedules allow individuals to plan the best route for reaching the Golden Gate Park. By Foot

If you're entering the park from the South, you can enter at 25th Avenue and Lincoln Avenue. Go to your left and bear right onto Middle Drive. There, you'll be able to access the south gate of the festival. You can also enter at 19th Avenue and Lincoln Avenue and cross over on Transverse Drive to Speedway Meadows. This will also take you to the south gate of the festival.

If you're entering the Park from the North, you can enter at 30th Avenue and Fulton Street and enter straight into Lindley Meadow. You can also enter on 36th Avenue and Fulton Street and enter at the north gate by the Polo Field.

• Empty Camelbak or other empty plastic container (i.e., Nalgene bottle)

• Personal cameras (i.e., small digital cameras or point-and-click 35mm cameras) - cameras with any type of detachable lenses are prohibited

• Framed or large backpacks
• Alcohol (alcohol will be sold at the festival)
• Glass containers of ANY kind
• Skateboards, scooters, or personal motorized vehicles
• Bicycles inside festival grounds (bike racks are available Marks Meadow)
• Fireworks
• Explosives
• Instruments
• Laser Pointers
• Umbrellas
• Strollers
• Picnic Baskets
• Non-collapsible chairs
• Lawn Furniture
• Large or Hard-sided coolers
• Tents
• Pets (except service dogs)
• Video equipment - no video recording will be allowed
• Professional still camera equipment (no detachable lenses, tripods, big zooms, or commercial use rigs)
• Audio recording equipment
• No illegal vending is permitted - no unauthorized/unlicensed vendors allowed

Miscellaneous:

Security/Safety

Our primary goal is to create a safe and secure environment for all festival attendees. To ensure this, there will be on-site security provided by local police and private security companies. If you're experiencing any problems whatsoever, locate a festival staff member, security guard, or police officer.

Medical
Rock Medicine will be on-site to help you with any type of medical problem. If you need assistance, go to the medical tent, or look for a police officer or festival staff member. Rock Medicine has been providing medical services at concerts for 35 years.

Lost and Found
If you lost something while at the festival, check with the Lost and Found, which will be located inside the Information Booth. The Information Booth will be marked on the map you receive when entering the festival.

ATMs
There will be a number of ATMs located at the festival. Their locations will be marked on the map you receive when you enter the site.




Driving direction to Golden Gate Park Outside Lands Festival:

a) Directions From the East

· Take 1-80 west down and across the Bay Bridge.
· Take the Ninth Street/Civic Center exit located off of the right side of the freeway.
· Bear left onto Harrison Street and take a right on 9th Street all the way past Market Street to Hayes Street.
· Merge left onto Hayes, crossing Van Ness, to Gough Street.
· Take a left on Gough for a block, then make a right on Fell.
· Fell leads all the way to the entrance to Golden Gate Park. The Panhandle is situated on the left.
· Bear to the left onto Kezar Drive, which merges onto Lincoln Boulevard. This will bring you to the south border of Golden Gate Park.

b) Directions From the North

· Cross the Golden Gate Bridge taking 101 south.
· Take 101 south across Cross the Golden Gate Bridge taking 101 south.
· You will reach a $5 toll and after passing, bear far to the right and exit onto the one lane to Park Presidio Boulevard (Highway 1 south, 19th Avenue, Golden Gate Park).
· Cross all the way through Golden Gate Park.
· You should not that you cannot make a left onto Martin Luther King Drive inside the south border of the Park
· This means you will need to loop around by making a right onto Lincoln Boulevard (along the south border of the park), followed by an immediate left onto 20th Avenue, left at Irving, left at 19th Avenue.
· Continue into the park and make an immediate right onto Martin Luther King, all the way toward 9th Avenue.

c) Directions From the South

· Start out by going north on 280 OR getting on 101 north and crossing over in San Bruno from 101 to 380 and then north onto 280.
· As you near San Francisco, bear to the left and follow the 19th Avenue split.
· It is important that you follow the sign that states, “19th Avenue/Golden Gate Bridge” using Highway 1.
· Continue off the freeway onto 19th Avenue, which will lead you all the way north to a Golden Gate Park entrance.
· Once you have reached the park, you may take an immediate right onto Martin Luther King Drive, all the way toward 9th Avenue.
