Locals frequent this longtime restaurant because it is simple, easy-going and all about crêpes. The casual interior is usually boisterous with jovial conversations and filled to the gills. Outside tables fill up fast on warm nights when diners tend to linger, enjoying the people-watching on one of the busiest corners in the Mission. Ti Couz offers both buckwheat crêpes, traditional in Brittany, and the better-known white-flour crêpes. While a number of new wave fillings crop up on the long menu, it's best to stick with traditional options such as ham and cheese or earthy ratatouille. Fresh seafood salad and a cheese-topped onion soup make for good starters. But don't fill up early: dessert crêpes are worth the wait, whether filled with rich Nutella or warm apple wedges sautéed in Calvados and topped with vanilla ice cream. Wines include reasonably priced French classics as well as a low-alcohol French cider.
