Jordan's House Of Ribs Description:
The late Sam Jordan was known as the mayor of Butchertown, as the Bayview part of San Francisco was once known. His son hasn't been awarded that mantle, but he has continued his Dad's tradition of soul-warming barbecue in this modest bar. As one would expect, the menu has all the usual suspects: pork and beef ribs, chicken, brisket and links. A combo is the way to go, because you get a taste of two meats plus two sides like African corn, potato salad, cole slaw, baked beans and more. For non-meat eaters, there is an array of fried fish choices and rib-sticking jambalaya. Cobbler is the preferred dessert. Sam Jordan decorated his bar-restaurant with whimsical African artifacts, which his son has retained.
