Vagabond Restaurant Description:
Hip South Park has a restaurant worthy of the hype in Vagabond. This cozy---yes, we mean crowded and tight---bistro-style spot serves food as varied as French, Caribbean, Moroccan and Asian. It's a high-energy, fun place to meet friends and co-workers for wine, cheese and pâté or crispy calamari with aïoli. Dishes of note include the moist escarole wrapped in banana leaf, paella, and butterflied filet mignon with pommes frites. Or try the Prince Edward Island mussels in a white wine cream sauce with pomme frites or salmon in coconut lemon grass sauce. Owner Jerome Gombert hails from France, and his chef, George Cruz, whips up the eclectic fare that justifies Vagabond's self-proclaimed description, "Kitchen of the World."
