Sally's on the Bay Description:
Named after the hotelier's daughter, Sally's is an upscale contemporary restaurant with one of the better waterfront patios on the marina, good for sunset cocktails and sushi. Guests of the Manchester Grand Hyatt aren't the only fans of the seafood spot; locals like to stroll around charming Seaport Village before or after a meal here of fresh California-inspired cuisine. We are impressed with crispy, meaty crab cakes, which sport lots of blue crab and very little filler, along with the peppered ahi in a subtle miso-mustard sauce. The seared scallops, dressed up in cumin and chili, come with fingerling potatoes and tender asparagus, all resting on a lime glaze. At lunch, don't miss the Caribbean salad with jerk grilled chicken and a medley of colorful fruits like Mandarin oranges, strawberries, papaya, mango and avocado drizzled with orange-raspberry and honey-macadamia nut dressing. Or try the decadent king crab club sandwich with pancetta, tomato and avocado. Desserts are largely well-executed. Molten chocolate cake with crème anglaise will not disappoint, and its accompanying passion fruit gelato plays nicely against the warm, rich chocolate. The unusual crème brûlée is plum-flavored and also worth a try.
