Pizzeria Luigi Description:
For years Bronx Pizza has reigned supreme in San Diego---that is, until long-time employee Luigi Agostini opened Pizzeria Luigi in Golden Hill. Hailing from Italy, Luigi knows a thing or two about pizza. He serves up his best pies along with stromboli and calzone at this small, no-frills walk-up. We like the Capone---a meat-lover's dream with pepperoni, sausage and meatballs. Also good are the Donatallo (made with ricotta, mozzarella and romano cheeses) and the classic Margherita. If none of the selections meet your fancy, create your own, like our favorite: eggplant, artichokes and fresh garlic.
