Jade Theater Description:
Sleek and stylish, Jade Theater's three floors hold an exotic cocktail bar, a private chef's tasting room, a movie viewing room and an underground club. People-watching is definitely a draw, but the main show here is the food. Get the spirit rolling with some of the unique cocktails, including the house-made mango saké, the Zenlightenment (Effen vodka and cucumber-infused nectar) or Enter the Dragon (black cherry vodka, raspberry purée, lemonade and Sprite). Chef James Montejano's tease-taste-eat menu mixes and matches recipes from across Asia. Tease selections include small bites such as edamame, yellowfin sashimi and crab kimchi. Taste starters are where the best dishes are located, especially for groups. We like the tandoori lollipop lamb chops---tender meat served with curry raita and apricot-pear chutney. The lobster trilogy consists of grapefruit-avocado salad, coconut soup and our favorite, miso-glazed lobster. The tongue-in-cheek main course named "What the Phò?" is a hearty, satisfying bowl of Thai beef, broth and noodles. Char sui duck with Chinese long beans and pomegranate sauce is overcooked and less successful. Skip it and opt for the black bean rib-eye with tempura veggies or the seared Hokkaido scallops with lemon grass sauce and a furikake potato cake.

Review :
While the decor is initially very nice, the reality of the restaurant quickly sets in. The water damage on the carpet should have been the first sign that the meal was going to be bad. It was terrible - cold, over seasoned, overcooked. The finishing touch was watching from the balcony as the restaurant manager ate at the bar with his hands.
