Pacific Moon Description:
Pacific Moon has moved down San Pedro Avenue to a location that some might call snake-bit it has housed so many different restaurants. But if anyone can make it, this place---where chips and salsa meet bacon (bacon?) tempura and a chicken salad sandwich is as prominent as are a teriyaki chicken bowl and honey glazed walnut shrimp---can perhaps exorcize the curse. The previously praised seared dumplings are absent from the present list, however, and burgers and sandwiches appear to have gained favor. There's a "giant" burger, for example, but it is infused with a garlic marinade for a cross-cultural change of pace, and the Mongolian burger is grilled with the house Mongolian sauce. If the twain can be said to meet in a single dish, it's the Loco Moco Bowl consisting of a hamburger steak over steamed rice topped with an "omelette egg." We are reserving judgment for the moment but do note that management has at least seen fit not to try to emulate the eclectic menu in one-from-column-A and one-from-column-B décor.
