Frederick's Restaurant Description:
The Cuisine is French with a fusion of other cuisines. The menu varies to fill everyone's appetite. Food is served with a flair, such dishes as escargots and rack of lamb. Also desserts are a favorite at Frederick's so you must save room. You can enjoy a romantic night or have a party at Frederick's. Be sure to call ahead to reserve a table.
After Frederick Costa opened Frederick's Bistro in another part of town, the original Frederick's, which had long needed a facelift, began to seem especially dowdy. Voila!: a freshened Frederick's with a menu to match. Though the Asian-French fusion concept remains intact, consider appetizers of pan-seared rare ahi with seaweed and octopus salad, along with crispy calamari and Chinese noodles with spicy garlic sauce. Move on through the classic lobster bisque to an Asian rare beef salad with daikon, napa and more. Then consider the locally unique walleye pike or perhaps truffle-baked sea bass with artichoke hearts. Old favorite duck breast magret now sports a curry jus. Diners also might be well-advised to consider the Kurobuta pork shank over whole-wheat linguine. Frederick's wine list, more than a hit parade of heavy-hitters, is especially strong in reds from around the world. For dessert, consider the floating island served in a flying nun's hat of a dish, now right at home in the lightened-up environment.
