Bin 555 Description:
Chef Jason Dady unleashed his talent at The Lodge at Castle Hills and has never looked back. But where The Lodge concentrates on fixed menus of multiple courses, Bin 555 takes the opposite tack with a Seville-meets-Sienna selection of small plates. Lunch can be as extravagant as an "American Kobe" burger with corned beef and many accompaniments, or as simple as grilled asparagus with fried egg and Pecorino Romano. Come evening, patrons will want to consult the 55 Wines under $55 list as a prelude to Serrano pepper-wrapped dates, braised pork belly with lentils or striped bass with orange-carrot purée and saffron espuma. Pizzas from the wood-burning oven are first-rate, and if we find veal meatballs entirely too fragrant with vanilla bean, the cabrales cheesecake with sour cherries is a fitting finale on the leafy patio or in the (sometimes punishingly active) dining rooms.
