Ilsong Garden Description:
Now that she has moved to a somewhat classier location just off Loop 410, Chef Young has bolstered her bulgogi and bi bim bap with power plates "for the discerning palate." A rib-eye stir-fry and a "choice" bulgogi of marinated, Prime rib-eye now occupy pride of place (and price). A major sushi component is part of the picture as well. But aficionados of the old Go Hyang Jib, her first restaurant, may choose to retreat to the past with homier creations such as the vegetable pancake with kimchi, the spicy kimchi soup, and a "fancy" seafood soup for two. Some former favorites such as icy-cold noodle dishes seem to have fallen from the list in favor of Japanese entrées such as teriyakis and grilled yellowtail collar. No thanks; we'll return for the stir-fried squid or octopus and ask for it extra-spicy, just to stand up for tradition.
