Charlie Chow's Dragon Grill Description:
There's a choice at Charlie Chow's: all-you-can-eat via the Mongolian barbecue station or à la carte from the menu of standard Chinese dishes. Choose option A; the novelty never wears off for creating your own dishes from a salad bar-like trough of fresh vegetables, noodles and sauces. Stick a colored plastic toothpick into your bowl to indicate chicken, pork, shrimp or beef (opt for the chicken), then hand it off to the Benihana-like chef and go back to your table. He'll stir-fry it up for a waiter to deliver. The dishes taste more like stir-fry you might make yourself rather than what you'd get from an authentic Chinese restaurant. The eatery is mellow with a post-modern mix of black booths, red walls and wood tables and chairs. If you don't trust your ability to choose the elements of your dish, order off the menu but there are better places in Salt Lake City for traditional Chinese food.
