There's no question that Bombay House turns out authentic Indian cuisine. The tiny tins of tikka masala and vindaloo explode with flavor---and if you prefer your curries on the spicy side, the kitchen is happy to oblige. The problem is that the dishes are pricey (around $12 per person) and portion sizes are hardly enough to satisfy one person. After consuming the initial dollop of meat and vegetables in the chicken tikka masala, you may find yourself stirring your spoon around, furtively hunting for more chunks. Fortunately, there is unlimited sticky rice to soak up the sauces, essentially creating another dish. Add garlic or onion naan for dipping. For sipping, try an Indian beer like a Taj Mahal or a non-alcoholic lassi, a creamy drink blended with mangoes and homemade yogurt. With its dark décor and quiet booths, Bombay House is a good date destination.
