Tucked into a Drury Inn near the Edward Jones Dome, this little family-owned and -run spot is a hideaway of sorts, replete with comfort food. Drury, a Missouri-based hotel chain, likes to partner with local restaurateurs who offer distinctively non-chain-type food. Owner Joe Sanfilippo cooks; his sister Connie runs the front of the house; and their mother lends a deft hand in the kitchen with desserts, salads and breads. The best choices may be pasta and seafood, and any combination therein. We like the linguine alla pescatore, shrimp and clams in a white wine sauce touched with tomato. If the inis is available for dessert, don't hesitate; this disk of ricotta-based filling with bits of fruit and chocolate chips is lightly breaded and deep-fried, a tasty item found nowhere else in town, and not, we'll bet, many other places, either. Lunch is busier than dinner here, unless there's a convention in town.
