Goody Goody Diner Description:
Whatever diner classic you're craving for breakfast, the Goody Goody probably has it: corned beef hash, salmon croquettes, Polish sausage, grilled ham, catfish, omelets, cheese grits and much, much more. Really, it's no wonder that after more than 60 years in business, the diner has its recipes down pat. It's where politicians mix with UPS drivers and church ladies, and everyone gets speedy service from longtime employees. The signature dish is the Wilbur, the restaurant's version of a slinger, with chili, eggs, hamburger patties and cheese. Some of the same ingredients show up in other traffic-stopping lunch entrées, like the chili mac and the burger steak dinner. Then there's the hamburger, cooked the same since 1948.
