Fans of Mexican soup, rejoice! There's a different home-cooked version every day of the workweek at Lily's, a light, airy spot offering cooked-to-order fare. On weekends, it can be difficult to choose between the posole and the tripe and pork-packed menudo. Both soups are flavorful, with lots of add-ins like onion, oregano and cabbage. The usual taco-type items dominate the menu, joined by treats like a torta (a torpedo-shaped roll filled with crumbled chorizo, mayonnaise, lettuce and tomato). Of course, there are Mexican beers to wash it all down. The restaurant is very family-friendly, with food arriving by deft maneuvers around a dancing toddler or two. There may be a wait when the dining room's full, but it's always worth it.
