Las Palmas Mexican Restaurant Description:
This mural-decorated spot draws a good lunch crowd from nearby businesses, and they come to feast on huge platters of chicken enchiladas verde, carne asada and nachos. Most notable, perhaps, are the refried beans---too often they're a pasty afterthought, but these look and taste like cooked-from-scratch pintos. Desserts and margaritas (though not for lunchtime diners because they're potent!) round out the menu. Though it's no longer under the same ownership as the original from which it draws its name, the restaurant's quality remains intact.
