Chez Leon Restaurant Description:
The visuals are different, but the smells and tastes that customers knew when this restaurant was in the Central West End are still all there: roast chicken and sweetbreads, ratatouille and rich béarnaise---not to mention a fine Lyonnaise salad and veal liver. The lunch menu gives the kitchen liberty to show off its croque monsieur and madame. Owner Leon Bierbaum runs things with finesse, and it's not taking long for him to work out any kinks in this space. Check out the flexible three-course prix-fixe option, a carryover that might not be as necessary to the well-heeled crowd in Clayton. The all-French wine list remains strong, though it may require some translation for those not familiar with France's regions and varietals.
