Bandana's Bar-B-Q Description:
Bandana's may look western, with knotty pine and branding irons, but in reality the food is real Southern. Here, the pork is sliced rather than pulled, but it's so flavorful we can live with that. The ribs are the true highlight, though: dry-rubbed, tender and moist but not dripping fat. There are four sauces on the table: original (representing a mustardy Southeastern style), spicy Memphis-style, tangy Kansas City-style and sweet-smoky Midwestern. Mind you, there's also one that's presumably so hot it's hidden (ask for it if you dare). Among the sides, beans get props; they're wonderfully smoky and filled with meaty bits. Consider, too, the baked potato topped with wet Bandana, a beef-pork combo in tangy sauce.
