Bistro Tuli Description:
Tucked in the corner of a residential area in midtown, Tulí is a true California neighborhood bistro. The quarters are tight, with only a handful of tables, but the place is friendly and inviting. An outdoor patio doubles the space, and even in mid-winter the windshields and heaters make sitting outside a viable option. The small, seasonal menu changes daily and features salads, sandwiches, pizzas and small plates. Start with the house-made soup or one of the specialty salads, such as the Tuscan bread salad with roasted corn, balsamic onions and farmstead cheese. For dinner, share a few small plates, which may include veal sweetbreads with apricots and prosciutto, sea bass with toybox squash, or a pan-roasted pork chop with pancetta-braised Romano beans. Wash it all down with one of the dozens of wines available by the glass.
