Just minutes from downtown, this upscale wine bar features everything California has to offer, from its cuisine to its predominantly California wine list. The menu, which changes weekly, features fresh, seasonal ingredients, carefully crafted into decadent creations. Small plates may include ricotta gnocchi with fava beans or seared veal sweetbreads. Mains feature pine nut-encrusted halibut, risotto with spring vegetables or rack of lamb with mint-basil couscous. A good bet is the weekend four-course fixed price menu and wine pairing, or the chef's dinner for two, including a bottle of wine, available Wednesdays and Thursdays.
