Stoney River Description:
Whether or not legendary, the meats are aged and of premium (if not prime) quality. On weekends you'll find long waits for the bone-in cowboy cut, filet, prime rib or tempura lobster tail. With most dishes, some side item is offered, perhaps a potato or other veggie. Fish-eaters have a few more choices here than most suburban steakeries: the usual salmon plus horseradish-crusted grouper, sea bass and blackened scallops. Crab cakes make a good opening gambit. Herb-crusted rack of lamb and a sage-roasted chicken breast are other options. For dessert, consider the chocolate fudge cake with Häagen-Dazs ice cream and nuts. The wine list runs a global gamut.
