Mom's Siam Description:
It's not much to look at, and you won't find much about the décor that says Thai, but you will find a solid menu that is all about Thailand. The kitchen sticks to such tried and true dishes as pad thai, ginger pork and tod mun pla, or fried fish cakes with cucumber relish and sweet and sour sauce as well as a panoply of curries and vegetarian dishes. The kitchen keeps the flavors mild, avoiding a real chili bite. Never mind: the staff is friendly, and street parking is readily available---always a plus when you are in a hurry to eat. If you like it spicy, just ask and they'll be happy to accommodate your heat index. Be sure to ask about the daily specials, too, and delivery is available for cash orders over $15.

I can't understand the other completely unreasonible negative review down here, as honestly if you order something on accident, you pay for it, don't expect other people to have to pay for your inconsiderate mess.
Anyway, the service is absolutely a joy. The waitress was very very fast and nice, and oh goodness. The duck curry is one of the best things I've tasted, and is probably the best thing I've eaten in Richmond. I've tried the other curries too, and they're insanely good. Portions are just just right to keep you happy, not too full or too hungry. I've been here a few times, and it's the place in Richmond I go to when I want something consistant, with the wonderful service and absolutely delicious food.

As for the first response, I am so confused that Mom's Siam upset an individual that much. I eat there a lot, and I mean at least once a week. I have asked for thai tea with less ice, and yes they bring it not as full as with ice, because they want to give out an equal amount. It would be one thing if I was trying to get more for the buck, but I simply do not like ice, so it is understandable why they send it to me 3/4 full as oppose to all the way if on ice. As for the food, everything costs money. The waitress is there to ask questions, and mine was so friendly and helpful and gave excellent recommendations! The calamari was some of the best I have had in a while. I ordered a curry dish, massaman, and the yellow-red curry was spiced and filled with carrots, cashews, broccoli, potatoes, soo good! Many of the dishes have choices of chicken, beef, or pork. You can do shrimp too but it's like a dollar extra. I like to add pineapple to mine. Overall the setting is soothing and the outdoor patio is awesome! The food is inexpensive and plentiful! A definite must try place.

Authentic Thai food delivered speedily, ways with a smile, and with very reasonable prices.
The negative review previously written appears to have come from an unreasonable person. Please do not let this misguided OPINION discourage you from a wonderful culinary and cultural experience.
